Wirtgen group advanced technologies for construction, preservation and recycling of bituminous asphalt were key to Wirtgen station no. 33077 at World of Asphalt 2019 in Indianapolis on February 12-14. There, Wirtgen, Vogel, Hamm and Kleemann products highlighted how Wirtgen technology increases the productivity and profitability of road contractors and government agencies. Wirtgen W ۱۵۰ CFi was displayed with 1800 mm crushing cylinder and cutting tool technology, including cutting cylinders and new PCD cutting tools. W ۱۵۰ CF / W ۱۵۰ CFi which benefits from wirtgen advantages such as Leveling Plus system and Flexible Cutting System (FCS), provides excellent shredding performance in a portable package.
While the standard width of the cylinder in 2018 was 1500 mm, it is now available with a 1800 mm cylinder, which makes it ideal for medium to large working fields. New PCD cutting tools are suitable for reconstruction of surface layer, especially by using geometric tools and materials. Jet spray technology was presented for Ultathin bonded coatings by Vogel in SUPER 1800-3i.
Also, SUPER 2000-3i and SUPER 700-3i finishers were other products of Vogel at World of Asphalt 2019. Hamm asphalt rollers VV-S DV + 90i and HD + 90i VO and two HD rollers from the compact line of 14i VO with vibration and amplitude, and HD 12i VV with vibration in both cylinders were presented at World of Asphalt 2019.
Finally, Kleemann unveiled the MOBIREX MR 130 Zi EVO2 crusher. This portable crusher can be used for crushing natural stone, and is more suitable for processing recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) and rubberized concrete asphalt (RCA) in asphalt machines.
